Alaxouche’s graphics-focused Wabbajack collection reworks Skyrim’s environments, materials and atmosphere on a substantial scale.

CURRENT INSTALLER STATUS

Currently disabled by the author.

On 12 October 2026, the author’s Wabbajack manifest marks Wunduniik as disabled (force_down: true). Its listed version is 7.3.0.0, last updated 3 June 2026. The documentation remains online. Check the original project for a restored release before attempting a new installation.

Author’s installation guide Project & current status

A demanding visual overhaul.

Use Steam Skyrim Anniversary Edition 1.6.1170 with the paid Anniversary Upgrade and its required Creation content. GOG, Legendary Edition and older Special Edition builds are outside this list’s supported setup.

Plan roughly 500 GB of fast SSD space for the listed release’s downloads and installation. Follow the author’s runtime and memory requirements, keep the Windows page file enabled, and choose graphics settings suitable for your VRAM and display.

WHEN THE INSTALLER RETURNS

Build the intended setup.

1. Prepare Skyrim and separate folders.

Install the required game and Creation content. Follow the author’s pre-installation instructions, using separate Wabbajack and modlist folders outside protected Windows directories. Do not downgrade Skyrim yourself.

2. Follow the current Wabbajack release.

Once the author restores installation, select Wunduniik and the release linked by the project. Sign into Nexus and follow the download prompts. Read the current guide rather than reusing an older installer or substituting unavailable dependencies.

3. Set your display and graphics profile.

Review the provided Skyrim INIs and SSE Display Tweaks for your GPU and resolution. The author documents Performance, Standard and Ultra profiles. The base look uses Cabbage ENB for NAT III Weather and Root Builder; keep that configuration intact until the game starts correctly.

My Skyrim ReShade preset and DLSS 5 setup accompany this reference. Wunduniik already has an ENB and Root Builder configuration: use the appropriate installation path and a compatible graphics setup instead of overwriting shared injector files. DLSS 5 availability depends on the supported game path and hardware; this combination has not been play-tested here.
